Extreme Makeover Live: Social Media Edition

What It's About:

Real builders. Real marketing. Live solutions. During this session, a volunteer builder will have their social media diagnosed, dissected and tweaked live and completely unscripted. Participate in the live audience polls and laboratory exercises. Be prepared to dig deep and get your hands dirty while exploring social media and witness an Extreme Makeover in action.

What You'll Learn:

Scope an overall social media strategy and plan a campaign. Build and execute a successful post, including hashtag research, copywriting, scheduling, link building and conversion reporting.

Create a paid ad targeting one or more platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Identify the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with social media and assess the success—or failure—of a campaign.

How to Attend:

Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Spotlight sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Since then, Dennis has leveraged that experience and his digital acumen to raise the bar for builder marketing everywhere. Dennis has authored two books, and is a respected speaker, on the topic of digital sales and marketing. Dennis is deeply and personally invested in the building industry; having held positions on Maryland's SMC board and the Board of Directors of HBAM.

Will is currently the Marketing and Development Manager of Web Platforms at M/I Homes, Inc (MHO) one of the nation's leading builders of single-family homes. He oversees online marketing campaigns, lead generation, SEO, PPC, Social Media and content strategy for 13 divisions in 10 states. Will provides leadership for the Internet Sales Associate program and trains the team in best practices for lead creation and management. Previously, he served in various positions at Apple Inc. (AAPL) for five years and was featured as spotlight speaker on apple.com
